Project Salacia

Salacia is the Roman goddess of salt water, and guardian of the deep sea and creatures in it. She was Neptune's wife and Triton's mother, but not much is known of her personal story.

Project Salacia aims to create a more inclusive and welcoming space in the field of marine science and conservation through the representation of women who, like Salacia, protect the ocean and those connected to it.

We hope to engage and inspire by featuring stories of  diverse women working in the world of marine science, along with resources, opportunities, and media recommendations.
